Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Yoshiharo Mabuchi, 34, of Mizaho City, Japan, Saturday for felony aggravated assault per domestic violence. Deputies responded to an assault report in the area of Concho Drive and Cochise Circle around 3:40 p.m. after being advised that a male subject was choking a female subject along the side of the roadway. The subjects were separated by other subjects who stopped. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the female and male involved in the fight. Deputies saw the female had several marks on her neck and the male had a couple small cuts on his face. Medical personnel responded. Deputies contacted witnesses who said they were driving by when they observed two people on the ground fighting. The witnesses said as they stopped to help, the male subject was choking the female subject but got off of her when they approached him. Deputies contacted the 35-year-old female victim, who said that she and Mabuchi, her husband, were arguing and she stopped the car. Mabuchi was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Larry Ray Conn, 73, of Kingman Monday on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon per domestic violence, felonies. Deputies responded to the 3800 block of East Devlin Avenue around 6:45 p.m. in reference to a weapons offense. Dispatch advised that a male subject was overheard yelling that he was going to shoot somebody and it appeared that he was waving a gun around outside of the residence. Upon arrival, deputies observed a male subject sitting in a car in the fenced yard and holding a gun. Deputies ordered the man, later identified as Conn, to put his weapon on the ground, which he did. Deputies detained Conn and confiscated the weapon. Deputies contacted Conn's son, a 40-year-old victim. The victim said that he and Conn were discussing his living arrangements when Conn began yelling at him. The victim said that he ran outside because Conn said he was going to get his gun. Conn reportedly came outside waving his gun around and yelling while he hid behind a shed. Deputies contacted Conn's wife, who said she followed Conn to the bedroom where he pulled the weapon out of the dresser. She said Conn pointed the gun at her when she attempted to grab it from him. Conn was transported and booked into jail without incident.
