Code 3 - Clothe The Kids

KINGMAN - The Eighth Annual Code 3 - Clothe The Kids Charity Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis, will be held on Aug. 13 at Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course. Residents interested in playing can register at Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course located at 1001 Gates Ave.

All proceeds benefit children who, with the assistance of local volunteers, are taken shopping during the holiday season in December. Clothing and personal items such as a warm jacket or new undergarments are purchased - necessities they may not otherwise be able to obtain. Last year, over 700 children were taken shopping at Wal-Mart and K-Mart due to the generous donations from the community.

More than $20,000 has been raised for the program. The organization thanks Kingman Regional Medical Center and Wal-Mart Super Center who each donated $5,000 to the event. In addition, donations of $1,000 or more were received from UniSource, Erin P. Collins and Associates, Baker Chevron, Baker Texaco/Airway Express, and Waste Management. There were also numerous other financial gifts and raffle prizes donated from businesses around town.
