Mohave County Sheriff's K9 Unit responded Aug. 3 to assist officers from Arizona Department of Public Safety. The unit was dispatched to a traffic stop on Interstate 40 at milepost 55 around 4:40 p.m. Upon arrival, the K9 handler deployed K9 "Ganto" on a sniff search of the exterior of the vehicle. Ganto quickly alerted to the area of the driver's door. Marijuana was then reportedly located inside the vehicle. DPS officers charged the driver.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Trina Marie Fuller, 38, of Spokane, Wash., Aug. 3 for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, both felonies. As deputies were patrolling a neighborhood around 9:30 p.m., they observed three subjects outside who then reportedly hurried into a residence after they observed the patrol vehicle.
Deputies pulled up to the residence in the 3900 block of Shaeffer Avenue and immediately smelled an odor of burnt marijuana. Deputies contacted all three subjects. Deputies said they observed one of the subjects, identified as Fuller, to be acting very suspicious and nervous. Deputies got consent to search Fuller and reportedly found a plastic bag containing marijuana. Fuller was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
