Robert H. Brase of Kingman passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Kingman Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Robert was World War II Army veteran and retired from 35 years of exemplary service with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a faithful member of the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, where he was active in all aspects of the church for many years.
Mr. Brase is survived by his wife of 68 years, Darlene Brase, and eight children: Arlene Ables, Steve Brase, Sonny Brase and Charolette Bass, all of Kingman, Earl Brase of Oswago, N.Y., Boby Brase of El Cajon, Calif., Diane Knowles of Gillespie, Ill., and Grace Wood of Jackson, Ill. Robert also had five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was an exceptional father and husband, and loved his family beyond measure.
To honor Robert's wishes, his body was donated to the ScienceCare Center in Phoenix. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 4045 N. Van Nuys Road, Kingman. For directions, please call (928) 757-3543.
