Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Samantha Rae Parsons, 34, of Kingman, Aug. 12 for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Castlerock Road at Ryan Avenue around 1:30 p.m. and contacted Parsons, the driver. Deputies reportedly observed Parsons to be extremely nervous and got consent to search the vehicle. A search of Parsons purse allegedly revealed cotton swabs and a syringe containing an orange liquid. Parsons was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael Wayne Thompson, 53, of Kingman, Aug. 12 for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony, and a misdemeanor warrant for issuing bad check issued by Kingman Justice Court. Deputies contacted a male subject identified as Thompson, as he was walking in the area of E Ames Avenue and N Benton Street around 9:15 p.m. A records check showed Thompson to have an outstanding warrant. Thompson was arrested without incident. A search of Thompson's backpack reportedly revealed a glass pipe. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
