Cookie walk to raise funds for HOSA club

KINGMAN - Kingman High's Health Occupation Students of America: Sports Medicine club is holding a cookie walk today and Saturday in hopes of raising money to help the group attend state competitions.

Junior Mariah Williams, a member of the club, said all 25 of the club's members participated by baking goodies. To get your hands on some of those sweets, head down to KHS, 4182 Bank St., between 5 and 9 p.m. today or between 8 and 11 a.m. Saturday.

There, you can purchase a plate for $5 and then fill it with baked goods. If you want some goodies but fear going overboard, you can purchase a smaller plate for $3.

Members of HOSA: Sports Medicine plan on pursuing careers in the medical field. Many of them take Career and Technical Education medical-themed courses through Western Arizona Vocational Education, but the club is their own and separate from the classwork.
