Ray John Bolles passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at the age of 81. Ray was born March 12, 1930, in Woodbury County, Iowa. He then moved to Arizona, where he spent time in Phoenix, Wikieup and Kingman.
After serving honorably in the United States Navy, he returned to Arizona where he worked in construction until he retired from Bechtel Power Plant as a member of the Teamsters. He then moved to Kingman where he owned Sparklettes Bottled Water Company for nine years when he retired for a second time in 2003.
Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he just loved being with his family and spoiling his great-grandkids. He gladly earned the title of "Grandpa" by many.
He leaves behind his wife, Gloria Bolles; two sons, Jack Bolles, wife Claudia, and Gary Bolles, wife Lois; his brother, Donald Bolles; six grandchildren, Terry, Karry, Jerret, Matthew, Nathan and Jennifer; 14 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ray and Maude Bolles; and three sisters, Viola Mullenax, Rose Mullenax and Dorothy Hubbard.
No formal services will be held. A remembrance celebration is planned for March 10, 2012, with more details to be announced.
