Janie B. (Maynard) Plott passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, in Kingman after a short battle with cancer. Janie and her twin, Johnny, were born Dec. 15, 1956, to J.P. and Maude Maynard in Kingman.
Janie was preceded in death by her father, J.P. Maynard; her mother, Maude; and her brother, Jerry Adkins. She is survived by her husband, Don E. Plott; her children, Marjorie Maynard (Juan Lozoya), Perry Zumwalt (Dayleen), Dody Esquerra and Shawna Pace (Rendall). Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Harold (Jimbo) Adkins, Margie Lapierre (John), Susie Gatineau (Joe), Jesse Maynard (Roxanne), Billy Maynard, and Johnny Maynard (Kathy). She also left behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. Janie leaves behind her 16 beloved grandchildren, Anthony R., Reece, Sabrina, Jacob, Serenity, Breanna, Mercedes, Zachary, Kelly, Tiarra, Chance, Anthony E., Rendall Jr., Josh, Samantha and Madelynn. She also leaves behind her four-legged children, Cracker, Boots and DeeDee.
Janie had lots of favorite pastimes including bingo and crosswords, lottery scratch tickets, fishing, camping, hunting, cooking, crafts, family reunions, shopping, road trips, keno, poker games and especially Sunday dinners with her kids.
Janie's memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at the College Park Baptist Church, 1990 Jagerson Ave., Kingman. There will be a potluck gathering of family and friends afterward at the same location.
