Mohave County Sheriff's School Resource Officer has charged a 13-year-old Golden Valley girl with felony possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana in a drug-free school zone. Black Mountain School officials contacted the school resource officer Tuesday in regard to a drug complaint. The SRO was informed that a student was in possession of marijuana. Deputies confiscated the plastic bag containing marijuana. The student said she found the bag at a bus stop. A juvenile referral has been submitted to the Mohave County Juvenile Probation.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael James Perry, 51, of Kingman Thursday on two felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3400 block of Northern Avenue around 8:10 p.m. and contacted Perry, the driver. Deputies allegedly observed Perry's hand shaking while speaking with him. A K9 handler responded and conducted a search and alerted his handler to the vehicle. Deputies located two pipes with residue. Perry was arrested without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Zachery Kurt Fetters, 18, of Kingman Friday on two felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the area of Castlerock Road near Northern Avenue around 12:10 a.m. and contacted Fetters, the driver. Deputies allegedly smelled a burnt odor of marijuana and observed a water based pipe with burnt residue sitting on the passenger seat. Fetters was arrested without incident. A search of Fetters revealed a glass pipe with burnt residue. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
