KINGMAN - Police have made two arrests in connection with multiple break-ins and robberies, including the armed robbery of the Hualapai Quick Stop on New Year's Eve.

Steven Joseph Kelso, 38, and Sean Anthony Bainer, 32, both of Kingman were arrested Wednesday on multiple felony counts of first-and third-degree burglary for a number of home and vehicle burglaries in December.

Kelso also faces charges of armed robbery for reportedly using a handgun to rob the Hualapai Quick Stop on New Year's Eve.

KPD investigators, with the assistance of the Bullhead City Police SWAT team, executed a search warrant at a home shared by the two men in the 3000 block of Mallory Loop around 7 a.m. Wednesday. Kingman Police Capt. Rusty Cooper said three adults and seven children were inside the home at the time.

Cooper said detectives had gathered information about Kelso and Bainer's possible involvement in the burglaries over the course of an intensive two-week investigation and had gathered enough evidence of drug activity at the home to be granted the warrant.

He said multiple items from the burglaries were recovered inside the home, along with assorted drug paraphernalia.

A bike was also found. The suspect in the New Year's Eve robbery pedaled away from the convenience store, which is a short distance from the suspect's home on Mallory Loop.

Cooper said clothing similar to that worn by the man seen in surveillance footage of the robbery was also discovered inside the home. No gun was found, however.

The investigation remains open. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact KPD investigators at (928) 753-2191.
