Patriot Guard Riders head out Friday morning on Thompson Avenue as many Kingman residents, veterans, and other mourners remembered the life of Thomas E. Murray with a Celebration of Life at Metcalfe Park. Murray was born October 12, 1946 and passed away July 3 in Kingman. The Patriot Guard Riders escorted his family from their home to the service on Friday morning. Pastor Ray Christenson officiated the ceremony. Family and friends remembered Murray fondly as a very generous person who "couldn't say no to someone in need." There was a color guard and rifle salute. Murray was a 31st Infantry Regiment Polar Bear. He was a volunteer VFW State Services officer and helped hundreds of disabled vets. He was part of the successful effort to install a Korean War Veterans memorial in Centennial Park.
