Police probe murder of Kingman man

KINGMAN - Kingman Police discovered the body of an apparent murder victim overnight Sunday.

The body of 28-year-old Alberto Orozco, a Kingman resident, was discovered in a passenger seat of a car parked between Lomali and Clark streets on Beverly Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Kingman Police Capt. Rusty Cooper said the cause of death has not been determined and details of the man's injuries are not being released, although he said it was obvious when the body was discovered that Orozco was the victim of homicide.

The vehicle, a purple colored, older model Honda Civic, belonged to a family member of Orozco. A neighbor who lives in the area where the body was discovered became suspicious when he saw the car parked in the area, investigated and then called police.

A suspect has not been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact KPD Detectives at (928) 753-2191 or report anonymously to Mohave Silent Witness by calling (928) 753-1234.
