KINGMAN - A collision between a car and a quad vehicle in Golden Valley Wednesday afternoon sent one man to the hospital.
Craig Krawczyk was transported to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas with injuries to his shoulder and leg following the accident that occurred around 1:15 p.m.
Mohave County Sheriff's Spokeswoman Trish Carter said Krawczyk was headed south on Glen Canyon Road when he approached the intersection of W. Abrigo Drive. At the same time, a Ford Escort station wagon driven by 31-year-old Beck Reid was entering the same intersection.
Carter said the intersection is uncontrolled, meaning there are no stop signs. Both vehicles entered the intersection and the front end of the Escort hit the ride side of the quad.
Krawczyk was reportedly not wearing a helmet. Carter said his injuries included a shattered leg and a dislocated shoulder.
Reid was cited for driving on a suspended driver's license. No one was cited for the accident itself, although it remains under investigation.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident, the Sheriff's Office said.
