Donald Ervin Estensen, 65, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011, at the Hospice House in Kingman.

Don was born Nov. 17, 1945, to Ervin and Irma Estensen in Morris, Minn.

Don graduated from Morris High School in 1963. He joined the Marine Corps Aug. 20, 1963, and served in Vietnam. After the military he met and married his wife, Susan, in Eveleth, Minn., May 24, 1969.

Don's career was in the computer field. He and his family moved to Kingman in 1982. He worked at Mohave County and was responsible for setting up the computer operations in the county. After leaving the county, he worked for General Cable in Kingman. He traveled with SCT Corporation to Anaheim, Calif., San Diego, Calif., and Chandler, Ariz., before moving back to Kingman. He semi-retired and worked for Hertz Rental Car at Kingman Airport.

Besides his wife, Susan, he is survived by his sons, Michael (Gessica) Estensen and Jason (Tina) Estensen; his daughter, Kelli Estensen (Darren Morgan); brother, Richard Estensen of El Paso, Texas; sister, Joyce Brandt of Morris, Minn.; and grandchildren, Miranda, Joshua, Dylan, Dakota, Katlyn and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ann and Betty.

Don was a loving, caring man, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed greatly.

The family is honoring his wishes not to have a service, but will plan to continue celebrating his life.
