Les and Dianna Harvey are celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary with family, friends and sons, David Harvey of Indiana and John Harvey of Texas. Les and Dianna were honored in Kingman with family at a 50th Anniversary surprise party hosted by their sons at Calico's Restaurant. Attending were: Betty and Larry Harvey, Georgia; Alice Cupp, Arizona; Christina Gallagher, Las Vegas; John Harvey, Texas; David Harvey, Indiana; Wayne and Carolyn Doty, Indiana; Waneta White, Arizona; Ron and Muriel Harvey, Arizona; Don and Lisa Carley, Arizona; and Derrick, Leanna, Kourtney, Hunter and Makinzey Carley of Kingman. Les Harvey and the former Dianna Gallagher were married June 30, 1961, at the Calvary Lutheran Church, Las Vegas, by the Rev. Otto Nelson. Les is a tall farm boy from Indiana and a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School in Cambridge City. Dianna's family has been long-time residents of Las Vegas. Her grandfather worked at Boulder Dam and in Las Vegas during the 1930s. Her uncles picked up newspapers and mail that were delivered by the train. Her aunt worked at the U.S. Post Office and the local airline service. Her parents, uncle and aunt all graduated from Las Vegas High School. Les served in the U.S. Air Force. Upon his discharge, the couple lived and raised their family in Indiana. Les retired after 35 years in the grocery business. The couple then made their home in Kingman - the warm country. During the last 20 years in Kingman, Les worked for and retired from the State of Arizona License Bureau and Department of Economic Security. Dianna worked for 17 years and retired from the Mohave County Communications Department.
