Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to an accident involving a quad around 7:10 p.m. Wednesday near Estrella Road and Abrigo Drive. The Sheriff's Office said a 15-year-old boy was riding a quad when he wrecked and suffered injuries. The victim was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where he received stitches. The victim also had some bruised ribs.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Brent Lee Paddock, 54, of Kingman Thursday for felony aggravated domestic violence. Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 2700 block of East Hearne Avenue just before 5 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 61-year-old male. He reported that Paddock, his stepson, threatened to shoot both of his parents. Deputies reportedly observed Paddock sleeping on the couch with a burned out cigarette in his hand. Deputies saw an open bottle of liquor on the floor near a broken coffee table and items appeared to have been thrown around. Deputies woke Paddock, who said he got a little disorderly but that everything was OK. A computer check showed Paddock to have a history of domestic violence charges at that residence. He was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Amanda Michelle Phakhongham, 28, of Kingman Thursday for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and a failure to appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. Deputies observed a vehicle pulled into a large empty parking lot in the 4200 block of Stockton Hill Road and turn its lights out. They approached the vehicle and contacted the driver, identified as Phakhongham. Phakhongham said she was picking up friends. A records check showed Phakhongham to have an outstanding warrant. She was then arrested without incident. A search of Phakhongham's purse allegedly revealed a pipe with burnt residue, numerous small plastic bags, a plastic container containing marijuana and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which field-tested positive for methamphetamine. She was transported and booked. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
