Jon Howard Randall, 47, of Southlake, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, surrounded by family and loved ones. Memorial services were held Feb. 19 at the Grapevine Church of Christ.
Jon was born Nov. 12, 1963, in Bemidji, Minn. His early childhood was spent in Minnesota and Iowa, graduating with the class of '82 in Kingman. Jon attended and graduated from Lubbock Christian College with a bachelor's degree in business communication. It was there he met the love of his life, Kathy Kovarnik; they were married in 1987. In 1994, he earned a JD degree from Texas Tech University and began practicing in the Dallas area, where he settled with his family and continued to work.
Jon was a wonderful man with a very big heart. His generosity and kindness were an inspiration to those who knew him. His compassion for others was manifested through his service to his church, his devotion to his family and friends, and his generosity to those in need. He was very humorous and loved to make those around him laugh.
Jon was a loving husband and father and cherished the time spent with his wife of 23 years, Kathy; and his two boys, Jake and Jared. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and traveling with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; and sons, Jake, 15, and Jared, 9, of Southlake, Texas; his parents, Jerry and Carole Randall of Kingman; sister, Jennifer Schneider and family of Lovell, Wyo.; in-laws, Henry and Jane Kovarnik of Southlake, Texas; sister-in-law, Pam Kovarnik of Tyler, Texas; and sister-in-law, Dana Levine and family of Parker, Texas.
To our beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend, we will miss you, Jon.
