Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Joseph Martinez, 26, and Yvette Michelle Moreno, 28, both of Kingman, Saturday, March 26. Martinez was arrested for felony possession of marijuana and six misdemeanor charges. Moreno was arrested for felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Butler Avenue at Jimmie Drive around 10:20 p.m. and reportedly observed the front-seat passenger switch places with the driver. Deputies contacted the female subject, now sitting in the driver seat, identified as Moreno and the male subject, now seated in the passenger seat. Initially the male subject allegedly identified himself with a false New York identification card. Eventually, deputies identified the male subject as Martinez. A records check showed Moreno to have a suspended license along with five warrants - a failure to appear and failure to pay fines both issued by Kingman Justice Court, a failure to pay fines and two driving with suspended license all issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Martinez was arrested without incident. A search of Martinez allegedly found a plastic bag containing marijuana. Both were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kevin Conney Williams Sr., 41, of Kingman, Sunday, March 27 for aggravated DUI - suspended license, felony, and DUI, a misdemeanor. Deputies responded to the intersection of Bank Street and Northern Avenue around 10:48 a.m. The reporting party said that a white vehicle appeared to have broken down in the intersection. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Williams, later determined to be the driver. A records check showed Williams's driver's license was revoked and he had a prior DUI in 2006. He was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Jail.
