KINGMAN - The No. 1 doubles team of Natalie Casson and Gabby Huffer dropped their match to Phoenix Sandra Day O'Connor's McKenzie Brist and Kelly Keffeler Tuesday afternoon, 8-5
But the real question for the Bulldogs is the status of Huffer.
Huffer injured her right wrist during a pick-up match with her brother a couple of weeks ago and didn't play in her singles match Tuesday.
During her doubles match she had to call for an injury timeout but opted to resume the match.
"We're worried because her and Natalie are planning on playing in doubles at state, and if this keeps up, then she's not going to be able to play," KHS coach Traci Rosenbach said.
"The reason why we want her to play doubles is to get her seeded for state," Rosenbach said.
On the year Huffer is 8-3 in singles, and Casson/Huffer are 8-4 in doubles.
KHS as a team lost 9-0 to O'Connor.
