Geraldine "Gerry" May Cobb, 77, another pioneer of Dolan Springs, passed away due to leukemia Friday, April 29, 2011, at the home of her nephew and his wife, Robin "Rob" and Chris White. Gerry was born June 11, 1933, to James Lee and Amabell Ama Cobb in McAllister, Okla.
Gerry grew up in Westmorland, Calif., and worked in Westmorland for years. She moved to Dolan Springs in 1969 and became a Realtor/Secretary for T&F Enterprises Inc.
She is survived by a sister, Violet "Vi" Pado in Illinois, and a brother, Richard "Dick" Cobb, in Colorado. She leaves a lot of nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces everywhere in the U.S.A. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Amabell Cobb; stepmother, Bernice Cobb; sister, Betty Chappelear; and stepbrother, Tom White. She loved her kitties. She told everyone she wanted to watch her girls, Lexi and Cora Miller, her great-great nieces, grow up. She will be missed, and especially at the VFW Post 9833. In the last two years this is where she spent a lot of her time with family and friends.

The memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 21, at the VFW Post 9833, Dolan Springs. A potluck will follow the memorial.
