KINGMAN - The Arizona Transit Association, partnered with the Arizona Department of Transportation, held an annual conference and Bus Roadeo on April 10-12 in Mesa.

The Bus Roadeo is a test of the drivers of transit throughout the state of Arizona, with 24 drivers competing from different transit agencies, and to recognize them for their dedication to transporting the elderly, disabled and general public.

Kingman Area Regional Transit sent two drivers to the competition. The skills of Eduardo Raymond and Jack Turton were tested with a written test, pre-trip inspection, wheelchair boarding and securement, and passenger stop among other criteria.

KART is proud to announce Jack was No. 2 in the competition and Eduardo finished No. 3. Both received awards from AzTA and ADOT for their outstanding performance.
