Kingman Letters: Some older drivers are safer drivers

With reference to Irene O'Connell's letter of May 1, after reading extensive research on the subject of old drivers versus young, it appears that even the experts can't come to a definite conclusion. I don't believe that all reflexes slow down year by year. It is a huge mistake to think that members of any group are the same. No two persons are the same.

I routinely climb mountains with people younger than myself. We reach the top at the same time. We have more control over our own health than most people realize! Some drivers may be over-medicated. I may be an exception, but I have no need for any medications.

My last traffic citation was 30 years ago; my insurance rates don't increase, they decrease.
