The Kingman Quilters Guild presented its annual Quilts of Valor event at the Mohave Museum of History and Arts Saturday in conjunction with Veterans Day activities. Quilts of Valor is a national program that honors wounded veterans by saying thanks, and to "provide some comfort and a tangible reminder that the service, sacrifice and valor of our local wounded service members will always be remembered." The KQG made each quilt by hand (each quilt takes about six months) and gave them to veterans as a thank you on Saturday. Here, Don Racine, a Vietnam veteran, thanks KQG's Margie Huber after receiving a quilt. Wanda Hepburn, a committee member of the KQG, is on right in the background.
