Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Zachery Kurt Fetters, 19, of Kingman Nov. 14 for felony misconduct involving a weapon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Gordon Drive and North Lomita Street around 10:22 p.m. and contacted Fetters, the driver. Deputies reportedly observed a plastic bag of marijuana hanging out of the passenger's side of the steering column. As Fetters retrieved the bag, he allegedly confirmed the contents to be marijuana. Fetters also reportedly told deputies that he had a gun in his pants pocket. Deputies conducted a high risk contact while Fetters was taken into custody and confiscated the gun. During conversations with Fetters, he said that he borrowed the gun as he planned on target shooting with friends that day. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested John Luther Stephens, 62, of Golden Valley Nov. 10 for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon per domestic violence. Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 6500 block of Nielson Way around 9:53 p.m. The reporting party said that Stephens, his father, pointed a gun at him and his daughter. The man said Stephens became upset after he returned home from using his father's vehicle. He said that he walked with his daughter to a neighbor's house after his father told them to leave. Deputies attempted to make contact with Stephens numerous times without success. Eventually, Stephens exited the residence. During conversations with him, he reportedly said that his son and granddaughter disrespect him and his wife. He added that the gun was not loaded. Stephens was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jason Howard Elder, 33, of Kingman Nov. 11 for felony burglary and a probation violation misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Deputies responded to a suspicious incident in the area of Lomita and Snavely around 5:30 p.m. The caller said they saw two male subjects exit a house with a red bag and then place the red bag in a yard on the corner of Lomita and Snavely. The male subjects were described as wearing a blue jacket and a red sweater. Deputies located and detained two male subjects matching the description in a nearby alleyway. Investigations determined that one of the male subjects, identified as Elder, had taken the red bag. Deputies retrieved the bag, which contained numerous videos. The homeowner was contacted and identified the bag as his property. A records check showed Elder to have an outstanding warrant. Elder was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested six illegal immigrants Nov. 17. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Aztec Road and Collins Drive around 11:40 p.m. and contacted the driver and passengers. With the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, all six occupants were determined to be illegal immigrants. They were taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where ICE later took them into custody. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident that occurred Nov. 17. Deputies responded to where a vehicle ran into a chain link fence in the 3800 block of Shaeffer Avenue around 10:41 a.m. Investigations determined that Jo Ann Burns, 49, of Kingman failed to negotiate a turn from Shaeffer Avenue onto Tommie Drive. No injuries were reported. The homeowner was present and informed Burns not to leave. Deputies observed Burns to be very lethargic and her speech to be slurred. Following a DUI investigation, Burns was determined to be impaired from prescription medications. She was arrested and a blood sample was taken to be submitted to the DPS Crime Lab for further analysis. Burns was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail for DUI, a misdemeanor. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Joseph Michael Murphy, 20, of Kingman Nov. 17 for felony possession of drug paraphernalia and a contempt of court misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. Deputies contacted Murphy as he was walking in the area of Packard Avenue and Bank Street around 10 a.m. A records check showed Murphy to have an outstanding warrant. Murphy was arrested without incident. A search of Murphy reportedly revealed a glass pipe with residue. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Gina Larae Pruett, 45, of Dolan Springs Nov. 16 on a parole violation felony warrant issued out of Arizona Department of Corrections. Deputies responded to a residence in the 16600 block of North Lakeside Drive around 12:15 p.m. for an unrelated incident. During the investigation, deputies contacted Pruett. A records check showed Pruett to have an outstanding warrant. She was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Thalon Curtis Poleahla, 27, of Kingman Nov. 18 for felony aggravated assault on law enforcement, along with assault per domestic violence and disorderly conduct per domestic violence, misdemeanors. Deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a residence in the 3100 block of Devlin Avenue around 12:15 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party, a 28-year-old female victim. The victim reported Poleahla, her brother, was intoxicated and was calling her names. The victim said she told Poleahla to stop but that he grabbed her and held her up against the wall. As deputies were taking Poleahla into custody, he pulled away and allegedly spit on the deputy as he was being further restrained. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further incident.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Amanda Michelle Phakhongkham, 28, of Kingman Nov. 18 for felony possession of drug paraphernalia, along with driving with suspended license and a contempt of court warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court, both misdemeanors. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Neal Avenue and Bank Street around 9:12 a.m. and contacted Phakhongkham, the driver. A records check showed Phakhongkham to have a suspended driver's license and an active warrant. Phakhongkham was arrested without incident. A search of Phakhongkham's backpack allegedly revealed a plastic bag containing white powder residue and a small amount of marijuana along with a straw having white residue and two used cotton swabs. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Later, Phakhongkham was reportedly found to be in possession of a pipe with residue at the jail. She was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and promoting prison contraband, felonies.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Shelly Kay Blackford, 49, of Kingman, Sunday for felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Northern Avenue and Tommie Drive around 12:30 a.m. and contacted Blackford, the driver. Deputies reportedly observed Blackford to be extremely nervous when questioned about drugs. A K9 handler responded and deployed his K9 to conduct a sniff search of the exterior of the vehicle. The K9 alerted his handler and a search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a glass pipe with residue inside Blackford's purse. She was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Gonzalo Zapata Zapata, 28, of Kingman Saturday. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration in the 3300 block of Stockton Hill Road around 3:18 p.m. The driver identified himself as Zapata with an Arizona identification card. A records check showed Zapata to have never been issued a driver's license. With the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, it was determined that Zapata entered the United States with a valid passport, which has since expired. Zapata was arrested without incident and transported to Mohave County Jail where ICE later took him into custody. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Juan Manuel Tovares Guerrero, 46, of Kingman, Nov. 18. Deputies contacted a male subject riding a bicycle in the 3000 block of Northfield Avenue around 10:45 p.m. The male subject identified himself as Guerrero. Guerrero advised that his visa may have expired. With the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, it was determined that Guerrero does not have legal status to be in the United States. Guerrero was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Mohave County Jail where ICE later took him into custody.
