The Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District will be conducting its annual charity golf tournament on Oct. 1, 2011. The tournament will be held at the Valle Vista Country Club. The event tees off at 8 a.m. with registration starting at 7 a.m.
Entry fee per golfer is $80 including for the golf, which is a four-player scramble with lunch included. Prizes include: Golf bag for longest drive, shortest drive, Champion Team-Gross, Champion Team-Net and four closest to the pins on the par 3s. Golfers will have two opportunities to win a new vehicle with a hole in one courtesy of Colorado River Ford and Anderson Toyota along with a multitude of raffle prizes.
Proceeds from the tournament go to the community outreach programs administered through the NACFD. "Our goal is to fund the fire prevention division's educational material and once again enhance our education and training,a" states NACFD Fire Chief Patrick Moore. Proceeds last year were used to support the education and training of NACFD personnel.
