The Kingman Area Meth Coalition's 5th annual Walk Away from Drugs and Keep Kingman Safe Public Safety Expo takes place tonight. Participants will begin lining up around 5:30 p.m. at one of the three starting locations, including Smith's on Stockton Hill Road, Firefighters Park, 2001 Detroit Ave., and the lot just east of Mother Road Harley Davidson, 2501 Beverly Ave. Walkers will start at 5:45 p.m. from the three points and all meet at Centennial Park near the north softball fields.

Once at the park, a disc jockey will provide music and there will be free hotdogs and drinks. There will also be informational booths and public safety displays along with a place to dispose of old and unwanted prescription drugs at a "Dump the Drugs" booth.

Awards will be given to those that won the coloring contest and poster contest. There will also be random prize drawings for kids who attend the event.

More than 2,000 people participated in last year's symbolic Walk Away From Drugs.
