Man had eyebrow bitten off during fight, police say

MESA (AP) - A Mesa man has been arrested after allegedly biting off the eyebrow of another man during a fight.

Thirty-two-year-old Jimmy Madrid was arrested Saturday night after he allegedly started a fight with another man.

Madrid allegedly started the fight because he lost another fight with the victim earlier that evening. Police tell The Arizona Republic Madrid reportedly returned to the scene and began throwing punches at the victim.

During the fight, the victim's finger, neck and eyebrow were bitten. Court documents say the bite to the victim's eyebrow removed a quarter-sized piece of skin.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for his injuries.

Police arrested Madrid on suspicion of aggravated assault and possession of marijuana.
