Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a robbery at noon Wednesday at the Horizon Community Bank, 5858 Highway 95. The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Dispatch advised that no one was injured during the robbery and the suspects fled in a grey Ford truck traveling northbound on Highway 95. Within minutes, deputies located the suspect's vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputies followed the vehicle until the suspects ditched the truck near Rotary Park in Bullhead City. The suspects fled on foot and jumped into the Colorado River. The suspects proceeded to swim across the river to the shoreline of Laughlin. Shortly thereafter, deputies took the two male suspects into custody after crossing the river on a personal watercraft from a good samaritan. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officers responded and took custody of the suspects. The suspects are brothers and have been identified as Thomas Joseph Leavy Jr, 39, and Kevin Michael Leavy, 38, both of Las Vegas. They have been arrested on armed robbery felony warrants. They were transported to Clark County Jail and are currently awaiting extradition.

Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team detectives assisted Mohave County Probation Department Officers with a search warrant in the 2000 block of E. Lone Star Drive early Sept. 1. MAGNET officers arrested Kenneth Robert Beyer, 65, of Mohave Valley, after discovering approximately six grams of methamphetamine and a loaded shotgun. Beyer was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident for possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon during a drug offense, and prohibited possessor, all felonies.
