William Clifton "Bill" Wilhelm, born in Baltimore Dec. 22, 1926, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at the age of 84. Bill was raised in Maryland, confirmed in the Lutheran Church. Bill served in WWII as an Underwater Demolition man (before Navy Seals existed). He came home and married his childhood sweetheart, Lorraine, and they were together for 57 years. Lorraine preceded him in death in 2004.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Diana of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; preceded in death by son, Greig of Maryland; survived by daughter, Phyllis and her husband, Ed of Phelan, Calif.; daughter, Joan and her husband Jeff of Las Vegas; son, Russell and his wife Tracy of Mission Viejo, Calif.; preceded in death by two grandchildren, Travis Scott Baker and Taylor Lorraine Lloyd; and survived by 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2101 Harrison St. Inurnment will be in Kingman, which is where Bill resided for more than 10 years and where his wife Lorraine is also interred.
