KINGMAN - The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a pavement preservation project on Interstate 40, east of the State Route 95 and Lake Havasu City traffic interchange beginning 6 a.m. Monday.
As part of the project, three traffic interchanges (Lake Havasu City, Franconia and Santa Fe Ranch Road) will be closed from approximately 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday. The detours will be clearly marked, and traffic will be routed to the nearest interchange.
The work will continue from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday on a 13-mile segment of westbound I-40 (mileposts 8 to 21). The work will require intermittent lane closures. The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
