Kingman Letters: To all who support the Golden Valley Friends of the Library

Thanks for the Miner's support for the Friends of the Golden Valley Library. It's appreciated.

An anonymous, generous person was the winner of the Easter basket drawing for the Friends of the Golden Valley Library. She immediately donated the basket to a family with two daughters.

The next event for the Friends is a book and yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 28. Books will be $2 a bag and yard sale items as priced.

Our next drawing will be June 30 for an Independence Day basket. Look for details later.

Friends of the Golden Valley Library is a non-profit organization that supports the Golden Valley Library. Individual/family memberships are $5 a year, business memberships are $10 and lifetime memberships are $100.

Meetings are held the first Saturday of the month at the Golden Valley Library at 1 p.m. except for June, July and August. Applications are available at the library.

Our next meeting is May 5. You don't have to be a member to come. So come and visit your GV library, meet our wonderful librarian, and see if you'd like to join the Friends, or give a membership to someone. There are more than books available. Computers are available for use and there are crafts for children and adults.

The Golden Valley Library is at 3417 N. Verde Road. Library hours are Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The phone number is (928) 565-2989.
