Mohave Wireless expands 3G network with Lake Havasu cell site

Mohave County - Mohave Wireless announced its expansion of a comprehensive 3G voice and data network to include an additional cell site in central Lake Havasu City.

The addition of the new cell site is part of Mohave Wireless's extensive capital expenditures plan. The network upgrades are being made to ensure Mohave Wireless customers have the highest quality network available and increased capacity to meet growing demand.

Greg Klimek, vice president and general manager for Mohave Wireless said, "The additional capacity for voice and data will provide enhanced cell reliability and improved download speeds that Mohave customers have become accustomed to.

As Mohave Wireless continues to see an increase in smartphone sales, we are committed to maintaining a network that supports the data speeds customers using these phones require."

Lake Havasu City has always been a premier tourist destination. In an effort to provide exceptional connectivity to visitors, Mohave Wireless deployed the Cell on Wheel (COW) this year. COWs are used to provide expanded cellular network coverage and/or capacity at special events.

3G services provide wireless users access to information and entertainment, including streaming audio and video services. Current and future Mohave Wireless customers will be able to quickly access social networking sites, upload pictures and videos to Facebook and Twitter, stream video and satellite radio broadcasts and surf the Internet.
