Kingman Fire Department officials said sprinklers prevented an attic fire from destroying the Greyhound Bus Depot Thursday night. Assistant Fire Chief/Marshal Keith Eaton said the fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. and was concentrated under the roof on the south side of the building. The fire sprinklers are credited with keeping the fire from spreading. "This is a fire that confirms the effectiveness of fire sprinklers," Eaton said. "Without them, the building, more than likely, would have been a total loss." Investigators believe an electrical problem sparked the fire.
