Jan Kinsey, 76, of Kingman passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the Joan and Diana Hospice Home in Kingman. He was born Jan. 12, 1936, in Emporia, Kan., to Theodore and Margarette (Gooding) Kinsey, both now deceased. He came to Kingman eight years ago from Mission Viejo, Calif.
Jan was a Hazmat Driver, a member of the Masons and Elks, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Kinsey of Kingman; two daughters, Christi Kinsey of Mission Viejo and Callie Callahan of Kingman; her grandson, Bradley Callahan of Parowan, Utah; and her granddaughter, Riley Kinsey of California; her sister, Valea Hieyl of Westminster, Calif.; three nephews, Jeff Patterson of Colorado, and Greg and Mike Patterson of California; and her niece, Holly Phillipy of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
He was a beloved husband, father and friend to all who knew him. He was an animal lover; Dollie and Dusty will miss him. He will be greatly missed by all. He was a "great man."
A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Elks Lodge, 900 Gates Ave.
