Sheila "Darlene" Tyrer of Golden Valley passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, in Kingman. She was born June 23, 1952, in Modesto, Calif., to Robert and Vesta Moorehead, both now deceased. She came to Mohave County 18 years ago from Anchorage, Alaska.

Darlene was an employee of the Mohave County Jail and a member of the Mohave Livestock Association and Farm Bureau.

Darlene is survived by her life partner, Dan Rodriguez of Kingman; her brother, Bob Moorehead of Kingman; two sisters, Deleta Maxwell and Debra Hathcoat, both of Kingman; two daughters, Shawna Mosley of Montgomery, Ala., and Bobbie Jordan of Kingman; her son, Bradley Tyrer of Kingman; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Darlene was a loving partner and mother. She raised three children who blessed her life with beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was actively involved in the Kingman community, working for the Justice Court for many years, the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the county jail. She served actively in the Kingsmen, Mohave County Livestock Association and Farm Bureau, supporting the pastime she loved, the American rancher. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and whoever had crossed her path.
