Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Amber Rose Stephens, 20, of Golden Valley Dec. 28 for felony theft of means of transportation and outstanding warrants. Deputies responded around 2 p.m. to a report of the theft of a vehicle in the 3700 block of Aqua Fria and contacted the 70-year-old male victim. He said that Stephens, his granddaughter, took his car the day before and hadn't returned. Deputies contacted Stephens via telephone and she denied having the vehicle, but around an hour later, she returned to her grandfather's home with the vehicle. A records check showed Stephens to have a fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of Colorado and a contempt of court misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jon G. Ellis, 52, and Jesus Manuel Sanchez, 37, and cited Lauren Summer Pitt, 24, all of Kingman, on Dec. 31. Ellis was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Sanchez was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and outstanding warrants. Pitt was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, felonies. Deputies conducted a traffic stop around 8 a.m. in the area of John L Avenue and Bond Street and contacted Ellis, the driver, and three passengers. One of the passengers identified himself as Sanchez and advised that he had warrants. A records check confirmed Sanchez to have a parole felony warrant issued out of Arizona Department of Corrections and a criminal damage misdemeanor warrant. Sanchez was arrested without incident and a search reportedly revealed numerous small plastic bags and two bindles containing a white crystal substance.

As Sanchez was exiting the car, deputies observed two glass pipes with residue inside the vehicle. Deputies questioned Ellis about additional illegal items and Ellis replied there was a bag of marijuana inside the trunk. Deputies confiscated the two pipes and a search of the trunk reportedly revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance.

A passenger identified as Pitt said she had a burnt marijuana cigarette wrapped in tin foil inside her backpack. Pitt was cited and released on the above mentioned charges. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Steven Darrell Chamberlin, 30, of Kingman Jan. 1 on an outstanding warrant. Deputies responded around 1:45 a.m. to a disturbance at a residence in the 3500 block of Lark Lane. During the investigation, deputies contacted Chamberlin. A records check showed him to have a parole violation felony warrant issued out of California Department of Corrections. Chamberlin was arrested without incident.
