Shots fired during domestic dispute

No one was seriously injured when shots were fired during a domestic argument at a home in the 2700 block of Jerome Street early Thursday morning.

Kingman Police Capt. Rusty Cooper said Elizabeth Thompson, 51 of Kingman, shot a door in her home during an argument with her husband. She was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated disorderly conduct/domestic violence in addition to three other domestic violence offenses after police responded to the home around 1:51 a.m.

Thompson's husband was also arrested and charged with three misdemeanor domestic violence offenses.

Both Thompson and her husband were said to have sustained minor injuries, although neither was shot. Both were booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Cooper said alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the incident.
