KINGMAN - Dr. Jakaulla Khan will be speaking on "Flu Prevention" when Kingman Regional Medical Center hosts Lunch & Learn starting at noon today in the Del E. Webb Wellness Center, 1719 E. Beverly Ave.
Dr. Jakaulla Khan meets a vital need in the community as a highly-experienced specialist in infectious diseases. With his extensive expertise, Dr. Khan diagnoses and treats infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, including serious and life-threatening infections, such as those associated with HIV/AIDS and MRSA. He also has specialized expertise in immunology (how the body fights infection), epidemiology (how infections spread from person to person), and in infection control.
Dr. Khan completed medical school at Government Medical College and Hospital in Hagpur, India. He went on to complete his internship and residency at Harlem Hospital Center, Columbia University in New York, New York. He is a certified member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, American Academy of Wound Management and American College of Hyperbaric Medicine.
