Next chance to meet 2012 Mayoral, Council Candidates

KINGMAN - Your next chance to get to know the 2012 Kingman candidates for mayor and Council comes tonight at the Powerhouse Visitors Center.

The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce extended an invitation to all 11 candidates. Nine have committed to being at the event and one, Keith Walker, pulled himself from the race.

Here's how it works:

Candidates each get two minutes to introduce themselves. Once that's out of the way, candidates get a table to disperse campaign materials. Also, people who attend are welcome to approach any of the candidates with questions regarding their plans for local governance.

Candidates for mayor include Bill Goodale, Ed Jones and incumbent John Salem. Candidates for the three open Council seats include Larry Carver, Kelly DeMaio, Brett Hale, Janice Palmer, Mark Wimpee and incumbents Carole Young and Robin Gordon.

The primary election takes place March 13, with the general election set for May 15.

Tonight's event takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Powerhouse, 120 W. Andy Devine Ave.
