The Kingman Academy Lady Tigers undefeated mark reached 12-0 with a 53-32 win over West Phoenix Thursday night.
Thursday's win came on the heels of the Tigers' 57-15 win over Phoenix South Ridge Jan.13 and Monday's 47-12 win over Bullhead City MALC.
Against South Ridge, Ashlea Tomlinson led the Lady Tigers with eight points while Maddie Stutler had six.
KAHS took a 16-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 40-5 halftime lead. KAHS extended its lead to 46-10 at the end of the third quarter.
Against MALC, Kaylee Muller and Tomlinson led the KAHS with six points as the Lady Tigers jumped to a 30-7 halftime lead and 38-12 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
At 12-0 and with games this week at Peoria Accelerated on Tuesday and hosting South Ridge on Friday, there is a real possibility of the Lady Tigers remaining undefeated heading into the season's final three weeks.
For KAHS coach Dave Scroggins, being undefeated isn't on his list of priorities.
"We really try not to focus on the undefeated part and focus on repeating as state champions," he said. "I'm kind of superstitious when it comes to being undefeated. I would rather take a loss early in the season and be done with the whole losing thing. There have been a couple times where we've been undefeated in the regular season and lose in the second round of the state tournament."
