On behalf of the Kingman Aid to Abused People Board of Director's, executive director, staff and victims/survivors of domestic violence, crime victims and homeless, we extend a big thank you to everyone who donated and provided support to our emergency shelter and outreach program during 2011.
With the ever-increasing demand for KAAP's services, we find it harder than ever to meet the needs of our clients, especially during the holiday season. This Christmas, our clients were truly blessed. Through the help of many community members, KAAP was able to provide food, clothing, emergency financial assistance, and fill Christmas wishes for 42 children, 18 families and 18 individuals.
We would like to acknowledge the following agencies and private donors for their generosity and kindness: Golden Valley Assembly of God; Donna Dunn; Golden Valley Poppies; Niki's Pals and Paws; Fraternal Order of Eagles; FOE Auxiliary; American Legion Riders; MCC, Practical Nursing Program; Maurice's; Natalie Bakke; XI Gamma ETA; Debra Covington; Valle Vista Country Club; Mohave County Sheriff's Office; American Legion Auxiliary; the Mitchell Family; Dora's Beale Street Deli; Salvation Army; Girl Scout Troop 2501; White Cliffs Art Club; Cerbat Animal Hospital/Acer Family and Friends; Filipino-American Club; Bug Masters; Mrs. Claus and elf (Phoenix private party traveling statewide to visit all children residing in domestic violence emergency shelters); Santa Claus himself; KAAP Board of Directors and family and friends; and the beloved "Secret Santa" (you know who you are).
