Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Roy Willis Patton, 77, of Dolan Springs Tuesday for felony disorderly conduct with a weapon and misdemeanor criminal damage. Deputies responded just after 3 p.m. to a weapons offense report in the 15500 block of Grand Drive. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party, who said that earlier that day, he heard gun shots coming from outside. He added that when he looked outside, he saw Patton, a nearby neighbor, sitting outside of his residence. The reporting party also said that he discovered his Chevy truck to have bullet holes on the passenger side window and frame. Deputies observed the damaged truck and then walked to Patton's residence. Deputies ordered Patton to put down a handgun, which he was holding when he answered his door. Deputies took a .22 caliber revolver from Patton as he was ordered to raise his hands. The weapon was secured. Deputies seized numerous weapons from Patton's residence. They also reportedly smelled an odor of alcohol on Patton. During conversations with Patton, he allegedly said that he doesn't know if he fired any guns today. Patton was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Juan Jose Guzman-Eusebio Jan. 21. Deputies contacted Guzman-Eusebio around 10:20 p.m. during a traffic stop in the area of Highway 68 and Marana Road. With the assistance of Border Patrol, Guzman-Eusebio was determined to be an illegal immigrant. He was arrested without incident and transported to Mohave County Jail where Border Patrol later took him into custody.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Justin Dwayne Sims, 22, of Kingman Jan. 24 for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Deputies observed a van turn its headlights off as the vehicle pulled into a dirt lot at the corner of Devlin Avenue and Pasty Road around 7:15 p.m. Deputies pulled into the dirt lot and contacted the female driver and a male subject who exited the vehicle and started walking away. The male subject was identified as Sims. A consent search of Sims reportedly revealed a small plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Sims was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
