KINGMAN - Marco Narvarte qualified for the Far West Regional Meet in the 50-meter freestyle and broke two of his old team records to help lead the Kingman Dolphins at the Dick Tomlin Invitational Saturday at Centennial Park Pool.
Swimming in the 11-12 age group, Narvarte broke his old record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 29.81, qualifying him for the regional meet in San Jose, Calif., which will be a collection of some of the fastest swimmers on the West Coast.
Narvarte also broke his record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:09.05.
Two other swimmers set team records. Kael Juelfs set marks in the 200 individual medley (2:54.60) and 100 breaststroke (1:28.46). Patrick Webb set a new record in the 200 individual medley for high school-age swimmers (2:32.62).
