Terry L. Schmitt, 65, of Kingman passed away July 11, 2012. He was born May 24, 1947, in San Diego to Jeannette (Henrich) and Kiger Schmitt.
He was blessed to have been married to Carole Schmitt for 14 years.
Terry and Carole were married in 1998 on the Riverside Resort Boat in Arizona.
He helped keep our country safe by serving in the United States Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He lived in Arizona for 18 years. He was a machinist who manufactured guns for firing blanks for various motion picture companies.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Lucille Schmitt of Kingman; one son, Shawn Kiger Schmitt of Kingman; one daughter, Shannon Darlene Miller of Grand Canyon, Ariz.; his mother, Jeanette Schmitt, of Santee, Calif.; two sisters, Kathleen Cynthia Martin of Alpine, Calif., and Ellen Louise Moorehouse, of Campo, Calif. He is also survived by two grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, at Brown Drilling, 3375 N. Bank St., Kingman, with a memorial service to start at 3 p.m.
