Marty Norton, 75, of Kingman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born in Glendora, Calif., on Dec. 18, 1936, to Lavon and Raymond Daves. She lived in Kingman for 46 years.
Marty worked at Mohave Community College for 31 years as the secretary to the MCC librarian. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for 29 years, and a member of the Purple Prose chapter of the Red Hat Society for over 10 years. She was a three-year cancer survivor.
Some of Marty's favorite things were watching her favorite old movies on TCM, her Purple Prose dinners and outings, scrapbooking and spending time with her family. She loved to be near the ocean and decorated her home with beach themes and Thomas Kinkade art.
Marty was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She was loving and giving to family, friends and community. She invited anyone into her home, made them feel welcome and like they were a part of the family. Her generosity and thoughtfulness will be missed by all who knew her.

A brunch will follow in the fellowship hall at Grace.
