Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kenneth Francis Rowley, 61, of Kingman on May 26 for felony possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor false reporting to law enforcement. Deputies responded around 4:30 a.m. to a call at a residence in the 4200 block of Pinal Street. Deputies contacted Rowley, who said he wanted to report his vehicle stolen. Rowley advised deputies that a witness to the incident was at a residence in the 4000 block of Ryan. As deputies responded to the address on Ryan, they observed the reported stolen vehicle. Deputies contacted the witness who advised them that the vehicle had been at the residence for approximately one week because Rowley had lost the keys. Deputies returned to the address on Pinal Street. While at the residence, deputies allegedly observed a metal pipe with burnt marijuana residue and a pipe with burnt methamphetamine residue. Rowley was arrested, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Roy Dean Medlin Jr., 33, of Golden Valley May 28, for theft of means of transportation, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools, felonies. Deputies conducted a traffic stop around 1 a.m. in the area of John L Avenue and Tommie Drive and contacted the driver, identified as Medlin. A records check showed the vehicle, a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee to be stolen out of Las Vegas, Nevada on May 26. Medlin was arrested without incident. During a search of the vehicle, deputies allegedly located several assorted keys used to manipulate different locks. Deputies also said they located glass pipes and plastic bags containing a white substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Medlin was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
