Jerry Exley bought this antique American oak chifforobe about 16 years ago from one of Hotel Brunswick's previous owners for $800. The piece had been in one of the hotel's cowboy rooms since the hotel opened in the early 1900s. Brenda Marker, who handles the business of the Brunswick's newest owner, Werner Fleischmann, purchased the piece back from Exley for $700. "It was a good, honest deal," Exley said. "It gives me chills to help the Brunswick out. I'm just tickled to be a part of it."
