Kingman woman injured in DUI incident

A day of drinking left one woman injured after she said her intoxicated friend drove her home, then dragged her with his car as he was pulling away.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies said the friend was later determined to be almost three times over the legal limit of intoxication.

The 47-year-old woman told deputies that she was dropped off at her home in the 4000 block of East Lum around 6:45 p.m. Friday. She said that after she went to retrieve items from the back of the van, the driver, 62-year-old Robert Terry McCormack, drove off, dragging her alongside the vehicle for about 40 feet. The woman was said to have road rash and other injuries. McCormack reportedly kept going despite his friend's protests.
