A few weeks ago, someone wrote a letter to the editor wanting to have "under God" taken out of the Pledge of Allegiance.
I took offense to that. If people don't want to believe in God, that is their right. Don't try and cram that down my throat or anyone else's. I don't see how anyone can believe that there is no God. Look around. I feel sorry for the unbelievers. They don't know what they are missing. These people need to turn their lives around. They need to get a Bible and read the book of Genesis. Maybe you can explain to me why we men have one less rib on one side than we do the other.
Look in the book of Genesis, chapter two, verses 21 to 25. Isn't it neat how God made this earth. He put the earth at a 23-1/2 degree tilt and made the seasons. The sun is the right distance from the earth. Look at all of the fruits He gives us. Take dates for example. Ninety-five percent of the dates in this country are grown in the Coachella Valley in California, which is in the Indio area. The other five percent are grown in southern Arizona. Isn't it amazing how He created an area for these dates to grow? They don't grow anywhere else in the U.S. That goes for the other fruits that we enjoy. He created the right climate for different things to grow.
To all of you unbelievers, I hope you will think over what you need to do. Get your Bible out and blow the dust off it and start reading. One day we will all stand before God and He will ask His Son Jesus, "What about this person?" He will either say, "I never knew him (or her)," or He will say that he know him or her. You need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You will still have problems, but you can cope with them a lot easier. God will help you get through them.
God loves us all. He wants a relationship with us. John 3:16 says that "God so loved the world that He gave His only Son to die for us. Whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting (eternal) life." Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the only way to God. Nobody goes to the Father except through Him. I hope you unbelievers will do some thinking and turn your life around. You don't know what will happen the next day. Our next breath isn't guaranteed.
