KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies and their K-9 partners helped the Arizona Department of Public Safety bring in more than 160 pounds of marijuana Sunday and Monday.
At 8:40 p.m. Sunday, DPS officers called for a K-9 assist at the Kingman Port of Entry at U.S. 93 and Highway 68. A deputy and K-9 Ganto responded to the scene where the dog alerted officers to four packages of marijuana stashed in a semi-truck cab that was traveling without a trailer. The driver of the trailer was arrested by DPS. His name has not been released.
A K-9 unit responded Monday morning to another call from DPS on Interstate 40 at milepost 52 to search a silver 2010 Cadillac.
This time K-9 Raidin and his handler responded. Raidin altered officers to 160 pounds of marijuana in the car's trunk. The driver of the vehicle was arrested by DPS. His name has not been released.
